Giant Himalayan Lily

Towering woodland lily.
The impressively large, glossy, heart-shaped leaves form in upright rosettes and frame up the sometimes 10′ sturdy towers of the Giant Himalayan trumpet lilies. These lilies may bear 20 highly fragrant, large white trumpets each measuring up to 10″ long that appear in early to midsummer. This is a special lily for special places; grow it in rich, humusy, moist soils in dappled to full shade. Young bulbs grow attached to the main bulb and continue to grow when the current season’s bulb is done. Plant in the understory, with shade-loving hydrangeas, anemones, hellebores and primroses.
