Sapphire Indigo Clematis

Neat groundcover shrub.
Sapphire Indigo is a cross between a bush clematis and a large flowered vining clematis yielding the best of both: a compact shrub with large, showy flowers blooming from early summer through to fall. The flowers are a rich shade of indigo-blue with 4” recurved petals and deep purple stamens. The plants grow to 3’ tall, spread 3’ wide, and never need pruning. Use this great plant as a groundcover, in a border, scrambling over a wall, in containers, even hanging baskets.
