Clusters of five-petaled flowers in shades of white, pink, lavender or red are perfect for a butterfly garden. This annual attracts hummingbirds as well.

Large clusters of vibrant red starlike flowers irresistible to butterflies and bees.
Abounds with large clusters of vibrant red starlike flowers and dark-green lanceolate leaves until frost. Easy-growing, low-upkeep 14-18″ tall variety requires no deadheading as new flowers form over spent blooms. Well-branched plants are bred to thrive in hot summer conditions. Excellent in the landscape or starring in a patio container. Nectar-rich flowers prove irresistible to butterflies and bees. Full sun.

Penta, Northern Lights Hybrid
Finally a breakthrough pentas that Northerners can enjoy as well!
The name says it all. Burpee’s Best Mix has the biggest blossoms and widest color range of any pentas available. Sow indoors, 6-10 weeks before last frost. Space plants 8-10″ apart.

Penta, Butterfly Sparkles Mix
Florets delicately shaped into little stars.
Flower heads 3-4″ across with florets delicately shaped into fine little stars. Blend pinks with cherry reds, and you’ve got a gem of a mix. Very weather tolerant and attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. Grows best in full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.
