We’re knocked out by this flowerful new double coneflower. The densely petaled double 4-5″ flower heads have a unique shade: a tint nestled between soft red and almost pink. Lush 30″ plants produce a flurry of firm blooms—landing pads for friendly birds and insects passing by. As the flower forms, the center cone stays rich, dark red—a nice contrast with the “red-or-are-they-pink” petals; the sturdy stems are dark chocolate (the color, that is).
