Melon Sakata’s Sweet

Asian heirloom with luscious and fragrant baseball-sized fruits.
Rarely encountered in the States, this heirloom melon variety has been grown in Asia for centuries. This strain, bred in Yokohama, Japan, has round, 10-12 oz. baseball-sized fruits with gray-green skin that morphs to yellow-green. The soft green flesh is luscious and fragrant. Fruits hold well after harvest.
