Purpurascens Flame Grass
Commonly referred to, as are most miscanthus, as Feather Reed Grass, Purpurascens grows to a height of 3 to 5 feet. Its primary feature is foliage that turns to a deep, almost purple red in late summer, topped by flower heads of a very light red. Its size and colorful fall color make it a valuable landscape asset and a great source of material for dried-flower arrangements. Medium growth rate.
